Surry Hills Studio

Our client, a film producer, sought to expand his private residence by adding a work-from-home studio above his garage. The property is located within a heritage conservation area, and while the main house was renovated in 2015, the garage portion remained unchanged. Built in 1928, the structure was originally a stable before being converted into a garage. Our goal was to create a modern and fresh space on the upper level while preserving the heritage laneway facade. The materials chosen for the new addition were selected to match the main dwelling, ensuring cohesion with the surrounding environment.
