LAU Solar System
We were engaged by the electrical contractor to model, coordinate and document a large photovoltaic panels system built on the roof of a university building. For that purpose, we collaborated closely with engineers, project managers, and installation teams through a streamlined communication process to model steel structures and PV panel systems and produce IFC documentation backed by Bills of Quantities for each structure. We developed comprehensive 2D and 3D electrical drawings covering stringing, cable trays, and earthing, while calculating the voltage drop for each string. We ensured all drawings adhered to consultant standards and regulations, remained updated with design changes, and were clear to go for the construction teams. Additionally, we provided ongoing support to the project team during installation, supplying any necessary details or drawings for straightforward on-site application.
